About this product
The straight shackle design makes the lock slightly less versatile but invariably more secure against force attacks. It is also encased within a hardened steel body and although it only gets an insurance approved rating BS / CEN standard of grade 3, it's shape actually makes it the equivalent to a 4 or 5 in a real world situation.
Shutters and Containers
Their shape makes them very popular for use on shipping containers with enclosed lock boxes since you don't need to curve the shackle around into the hole like you would with a transitional padlock. Also for roller shutters. In fact some people refer to them as a 'shutter padlocks'.
A corrosion resistant internal mechanism makes it suitable for outdoor use on shutters, bollards and gates.
All our padlocks are delivered with 2 keys each inclusive of the price.
