About this product
A bit of history
Henry Squire has been making locks for many generations in England and they can track their heritage back to around 240 years. Amazingly, they still make some of their locks in the UK which includes these Stronghold types. Nowadays, that doesn't necessarily mean superior quality but from what we can see the quality is excellent, the working conditions at their facility is excellent and the values of the business are also great.
About this lock
Designed to resist even the toughest of attacks, these padlocks boast the impressive CEN grades. For more information on these test grades please see our CEN insurance page.
The body is made from hardened steel with electrophoretic coating to provide excellent resistance to the weather. These locks have been tested to over 200 hours of salt spray and are therefore ideal for outdoor use. Please note however this is not a marine grade padlock. Please see our weatherproof range for these.
Each padlock comes with 2 keys included and additionall can be ordered as a special with "flying shackles" i.e. loose shackles that enable the padlocks to be used where hasp and staple access is tight, by feeding the shackle into the lock when the lock is in place - lead time would be 7-10 working days for this.
Need this padlock keyed alike? Please visit the Keyed Alike Section.
