Refund policy

We offer a 30-day returns policy. This means you have 30 days from the day you receive your item to tell us you want to return it.

To be eligible for a return, items must be unused, in “as new” condition, and returned in their original packaging with all accessories and labels intact. Proof of purchase is required.

If an item is returned in a condition that reduces its resale value, we may apply a partial refund to reflect this.

Please note that since we deal with security products, special provisions do not apply. Any padlocks that have been opened will be classed as used and non-refundable. This is to ensure that the locks have not been tampered with and can be resold as a security item. 

Changing Your Mind

If you change your mind about your purchase:

  • You must notify us within 14 days of delivery

  • You then have 30 days from notifying us to return the item

  • Return postage costs are your responsibility

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives.

If your item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect, contact us immediately at secure@padlocks.co.uk.

Where a fault is confirmed, we will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate. We will also cover the cost of return postage for faulty or incorrect items.

We may ask for the item to be returned for inspection before processing a resolution.

Customised & Non-Returnable Items

Some items cannot be returned, including:

  • Customised or engraved products

  • Goods made to your specification

For customised orders, customers are responsible for providing accurate personalisation details. Customised goods are non-refundable unless faulty.

If you are unsure whether your product qualifies for return, please contact us before sending it back.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges.

If you would like a different item, please return your original order and place a new order separately.

Refunds

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.

If approved:

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method

  • Processing typically takes up to 10 business days

  • Your bank or card provider may take additional time to show the funds

European Union Customers

If your order is delivered within the European Union, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of delivery for any reason.

Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, and in resale condition. Return postage costs remain the customer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty.
