About this product

About This Padlock:
This lock is part of Masterlock's Excell Series. You see many engineering applications that use the octagon to increase stengeth. This is simply due to the geometry of the eight sides and this is why you will often see crow bars built from octaganol steel.

Octagonal Shackle

Masterlock is the first manufacturer to incorporate this technology into the shackle of a laminated padlock making it more resistant to bolt cutting attacks. Unfortunately it will not make much difference to attacks from hacksaws.

The lock is resettable to your own 4 digit code which can be done when the lock is in the open position. There are two body types to select from depending on your budget.

If you require keyed alike laminated locks then please see the ABUS laminated range which come in 3 sizes, all available in keyed alike.

Sizes:
We only keep one size of this product.

Uses & Applications:
This padlock is ideal in most medium to high security applications. Please note that due to its size it does use only a 4 pin mechanism. This is fine for most applications but you might want to look at the high security padlocks for securing more valuable items.

Resetting the combination:

For additional guidance on resetting the combination on this lock please see the follow instructional video.

Since the dials will rotate freely only in one direction from zero, this allows the padlock to be opened in low light conditions.
