Yes and no. Some are manufactured in the UK, specifically the Stronghold range. The rest will be made in China we believe. Either way they do give a significant guarantee of 10 years even on all the products regardless of where they are made. This is in additional to the guarantee that we place on the products.

Difficult to say. There are many old brands out there but many have been bought up and are simply just names now whilst being owned by a larger company. For example Champion, Union or Chubb. Squire however is still the same family business and they claim a heritage of 250 years which is entirely possible as the UK has a tradition of long standing family firms of many hundreds of years.

Squire Keyed Padlocks

The entire range of Stronghold padlocks are exclusively made in Britain in the Squire factory. Not all their padlocks are made in the UK but they felt that it was best to keep this range in-house to maintain quality and insurance ratings to a high standard.
