ABUS have launched their first fngerprint access padlock which allows two administrators to grant access to the padlock and 10 fingerprints so different people can open it.
The 49mm body width padlock with a hardened steel shackle is ideal for lockers and internal uses whereby keys and combinations don't want to be shared.
Operating off two batteries, the life is estimated to over 1,000 uses and as an added secutity measure, even when the batteries run low, it does not wipe the data so removing the batteries and starting again does not make any would be thief automatically an administrator!
We've been looking into fingerprint padlocks for a few years now as we feel there is a market for them but this from ABUS is by far the best we've seen when it comes to ease of use / administration set up, as well as quality and durability.
