About this product
The straight shackle design makes the lock slightly less versatile but invariably more secure against force attacks simply because you can't get crow bars between the padlock and the chain, hasp or bolt that you attach it to. A tough plastic case gives this lock added resistance to the weather, impacts and helps protect the paint on your door. The lock uses a 4 dial combination resettable to your own code on the small size and 5 dials on the larger.
Uses & Applications
The straight shackled or shutter padlock can be used in a variety of situations where a high-security padlock is needed but are ideal for security shutters, gates and barriers. For more information on the types and designs of padlocks please see our advice section.
Insurance rating
Unfortunately this lock doesn't have a CEN, Sold Secure, BSEN or LPCB rating but that's not to say it wouldn't get the rating if it were tested. It is however regarded as "Closed Shackle" which often is the old requirement that an insurance company need.
